Balanced Warriors is a 501c3 charitable organization founded and run by a US Marine Veteran of the Iraq War. The mission of the organization is to help veterans “find strength and balance in the present moment,” by providing education, guidance and assistance to Veterans as they find and continue to recognize their own internal strengths. Our Iain Donovan Memorial Educational Fund helps Veterans with costs associated with returning to school.
At no cost to the Veteran, Balanced Warriors works with Veterans to find the balance in the mind and body. Veterans are shown tools within themselves, through yoga and mindfulness practices, to help manage daily stressors as well as the lasting impact service in the military and/or deployments can leave.
Through our Veterans only classes we have the added benefit of providing the opportunity for Veterans to build social and community relationships with other Veterans. We welcome a Veteran’s spouse/significant other to accompany them to class.
